Antique Hand Hammered Wrought Iron Hardware
HammeredHinges.com was begun after trying to fill a need for unusual and authentic hardware at Silver Light Editions. We wanted to find a "made in America" supplier for truly hand made cabinet hinges and hardware for Silver Light Editions "New Antique" kitchens and bathroom furniture. We did not want plain Jane everyone-has-it hardware that was stamped out a thousand at a time, all looking exactly the same. We pride ourselves on supplying a unique product!
We were not able to find the perfect match for our furniture, after looking for more than a year, until our search led us to a small forge in our own back yard, Lancaster County Pennsylvania. There we were finally able to have the authentic reproduction hardware manufactured that you see on our web site. This forge creates rustic hardware from scratch just as they did 200 years ago, heat forged and hammered. Each piece is absoutely different in the truest one-of-a-kind sense.
And the rest of the story is simple. Other cabinet & furniture makers, and the folks who were buying our furniture, saw our hardware and loved it just as we do. And, then they wanted to buy it! So, we decided to offer this beautiful product to a larger audience on the Internet. HammeredHinges.com is owned by Silver Light Editions and we take both the pride in, and the responsibility for, the product. We look forward to supplying you with this hardware to accessorize and bueatify your furniture or cabinetry. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us.
Antique Bathroom Vanities And Antique Kitchen Construction

Please visit us at Silver Light Editions and see our beautiful "New Antique" products that we manufacture from Antique woods such as Antique White Pine; Chestnut; Yellow Pine; Red & White Oak; and Hemlock. Our woods are cut from beams saved and reclaimed from antique barns and buildings in Pennsylvania and the surrounding area.
We use time honored manufacturing methods when we build your kitchen or vanity including mortise & tennon joinery. And, our woods are cut from solid stock with absolute minimum glue up. We complete the manufacturing process by using either modern stains, glazes, and lacquers or authentic early American finishes such as milk paints, tung oils, or linseed oils. We do all this so that the final product you receive and place in your home is truly a piece of furniture you can enjoy every time you use it and value as an heirloom for future generations.
These are pieces of furniture you cannot find anywhere else!
