The privacy latch is often used for bathroom and powder room passage way doors. The privacy latch is a "L" shaped drop down screw mounted piece that is mounted on the interior side of the door, above the door lift bar, and dropped down so that entry from the exterior (thumb latch) side of the door is prevented.
